El pasado septiembre se celebro la semana de la moda en la hermosa ciudad de Nueva York y si no llegaste a ir (como yo) o estuviste tan ocupado/a que no tuviste chance de ver nada ¡No te preocupes! Llegué yo al rescate para mostrarte lo mejor y actualizarnos con algunas tendencias que capaz veremos para primavera-verano 2017.
Hello! Last september was held fashion week in the beautiful city of New York and if you didn’t go (like me) or you were so busy you didn’t have the chance to see anything, don’t worry! I arrived to the rescue to show you the best of that week and catch up on some trends that we could see for spring-summer 2017.

Marc Jacobs y su propuesta Rasta:
Este desfile creó controversia porque el público acusó al diseñador de apropiación de la cultura negra al utilizar mayoritariamente modelos con tez blanca y llevando el estilo rasta. En mi opinión estoy de acuerdo con la respuesta del diseñador- aunque luego se disculpó por lo insensible que fue su reacción- pero para él, no existen las razas ni los colores y afirmó que cuando las mujeres de tez negra llevan el cabello liso nadie las critica. Yo creo que la reacción del público fue un poco exagerada, es moda y siempre los diseñadores se adaptan y se inspiran en todo.
Marc Jacobs and his Rasta proposal:
This fashion runway created controversy because the public accused the designer of appropriation of black culture for mostly using models with white complexion and wearing the rasta style. In my opinion I agree with the response of designer- however he later apologized for how insensitive was his reaction- he said for him there are no races or colors and claimed that when women of black complexion lead straight hair nobody critices them. I think the public reaction was a bit exaggerated, it is fashion, so designers always adapt to new things and are inspired by anything.
