Las mascarillas están en tendencia y no solo porque las celebridades aman mostrar sus cuidados de belleza por las redes sociales , sino que también hubo algunos rumores de algunas mujeres afirmando que las mascarillas faciales eran poco higiénicas. Leyendo un artículo de S Moda, dicen que las mascarillas coreanas se empaquetan manualmente por mujeres en sus propias casa, por lo que muchos consumidores han encontrado cabellos o puntos negros como de restos de cigarro. Obviamente si es algo que pones en tu cara, cero deseas que esté lleno de basura, por lo que recomiendo siempre verificar que se vea limpio antes de usarlo.
Igual esto se los cuento como algo que leí, sin embargo, no debemos generalizar que todas las marcas fabrican de la misma manera. Yo quería contarles sobre mi experiencia de estas mascarillas que compré aquí en Venezuela en Farmatodo. La marca se llama BACC, al parecer son hechas en China y distribuidas acá y en Bogotá. Sin embargo, hay muchísimas marcas; se que Sephora vende mascarillas y hay unas que vienen en presentación en crema.
¿Para qué sirven?
En general las mascarillas sirven para nutrir la piel, limpiarla y para hidratarla. Sin embargo, hay distintas mascarillas que cumplen funciones distintas dependiendo de sus ingredientes.
The sheet masks are in trend right now and not just because celebrities love to show their beauty routine through social media, but also there were some rumors claiming that some women confirmed sheet masks were unhygienic. Reading an article by S Moda, it said Korean masks are manually packaged by women in their own home, so many consumers have found hair or black spots as remnants of cigar. Obviously if it’s something you put on your face, you don’t want that to have garbage on it, so I recommend to check it looks clean before wearing it.
I’m telling you this because it was something I read, but we must not generalize that all brands manufactured in the same way. I wanted to tell you about my experience of these masks that I bought here in Venezuela in Farmatodo. The brand is called BACC apparently are made in China and distributed here and in Bogotá. However, there are many brands, I know that Sephora sells sheet masks and there are some that come in cream presentation.
What are they for?
In general, face masks serve to nourish the skin, cleaning and moisturise. However, there are different masks and they accomplish different functions depending on their ingredients.
Mascarilla de Fresa y Yogurt: Su función es cicatrizar,hidratar, limpiar profundamente y eliminar los puntos negros ya que contiene vitamina A, C y ácido fólico . Cuando la probé no me gusto mucho oler a fresa y yogurt, es que no me gustan mucho los productos con olores de frutas, pero si les aseguro que sentí la cara fresca, sin brillo y bastante hidratada incluso hasta al día siguiente.
¿Cómo aplicarlo?
Primero lava tu cara bien con agua y jabón, que no quede ni un rastro de maquillaje. Abre el paquete y revisa que la mascarilla esté en buenas condiciones, colócalo en tu cara y espera alrededor de 15- 20 minutos. Luego lo que debes hacer es limpiar el líquido restante de tu cara.
Strawberry and Yogurt Mask: Its function is to heal, moisturize, cleanse and remove deep blackheads because it contains vitamin A, C and folic acid. When I tried it I did not like much how it smelled (like strawberry and yogurt) but is because I’m not fan of the products that smell like food. However, I assure you that I felt my skin fresh, not greasy and quite hydrated even at the next day.
How do I apply?
First wash your face thoroughly with soap and water and don’t leave any trace of makeup. Open the package and check that the mask is in good condition, put it on your face and wait about 15 to 20 minutes. Then clean the remaining liquid from your face.
Aloe Vera: Este me llamó muchísimo la atención su función es brindar nutrición, brillo, exfoliar y ayudar contra el acné. Siempre he escuchado que el Aloe Vera es bueno para la piel, la planta tiene efectos regeneradores que hacen que la piel tenga un mejor aspecto. Lo que más me llamaba la atención era la parte anti acné pero hay que estar claros que por usar una mascarilla no te liberarás de esto, siempre es mejor utilizar cremas recetadas por el dermatólogo…
Preferí el olor de este y de verdad utilizar mascarillas es un tratamiento que hace que te relajes. Se aplica de la misma manera que la mascarilla de fresa y yogurt.
Aloe Vera: This mask called my attention, its function is to provide nutrition, glow, exfoliation and to help combat acne. I’ve always heard that Aloe Vera is good for your skin, the plant has regenerative effects that make the skin look better. What It drew my attention was the part that said «anti acne» but to be clear, wearing a mask will not liberate from this, it is always better to use creams prescribed by a dermatologist,
I preferred the smell of this and wearing masks is a treatment that makes you relax. You applied the mask the same way that the mask of strawberry and yogurt.
Mascarilla para ojos: Su función es disminuir las líneas de expresión y reducir las bolsas y ojeras. A penas vi esto dije wow, al fin algo que me quite estas ojeras, pero la verdad es que cuando me lo puse me picó mucho pero cuando me lo quité si humecto y fue un alivio. Yo no lo volvería a utilizar porque a diferencia de los otros si me molestó y no se si es normal que te pique tanto.
Eye mask: Its function is to reduce fine lines and reduce puffiness and dark circles. When I saw this mask I said «wow, finally something that can help me with dark circles», but the truth is that when I put it under my eyes it itched, so when I took it off it was a relief.
En conclusión: En sí la mascarilla es un papel con la forma de la cara que está bañado en un líquido que contiene los nutrientes necesarios para el cuidado de piel. Me gustó utilizarlas para relajarme, sí dejan la piel más hidratada, menos grasosa y de verdad se siente más limpia la piel, pero los efectos y cambios no se ven al instante. Según lo que dice el empaque, si lo utilizas de 2 a 3 veces por semana verás mejores resultados. Ojo me parece importante que no reutilicen la mascara, porque no saben que bacterias pueden entrarles una vez sacada del empaque.
In conclusion: The sheet mask is a mask shaped as a face and bathed in a liquid that contains the necessary nutrients for skin care. I liked using them to relax, they do leave the skin hydrated, less shiny and more cleaner, but the effects and changes are not instantly. According to what the package says, if you use it 2 or 3 times a week you will see better results. Do not reuse the mask, you don’t know if a bacteria can get into them once removed from the packaging.
