La falda que heredé…

La falda de denim de botones estaba en mi wish list del año pasado pero no terminé  teniéndola. Lo cómico es que este año mi mamá hizo una limpieza de su armario y entre la ropa que utilizaba de joven consiguió esta falda. La verdad fue sorprendente, primero porque no sabía que esa tendencia venía de antes y segundo, porque normalmente no tenemos los mismos gustos en ropa. Claro, la falda me queda un pelo más larga de lo que quisiera pero igual me encanta utilizarla y de manera casual.

El caso es que a veces pienso que lo que pasó con la falda es tal cual como es la vida: llena de sorpresas. Uno nunca sabe que podrá venir, por eso creo que hay que vivir el momento a plenitud y; esto  lo digo muy fácil, pero  la verdad cuesta demasiado, siempre pienso en el futuro y más en estos momentos que me voy a graduar de la universidad y vienen muchos cambios. Sin embargo, creo que debo hacer un esfuerzo y disfrutar el día a día, los pequeños detalles y enfocarme en el presente porque tal cual como recibí la falda, las cosas pasan cuando menos te lo esperas y es algo que no puedes controlar así que hay que dejar que la vida nos sorprenda.

Este look lo utilicé en Aruba, las fotos las tomamos ahí pero pronto les traeré un post dedicado a ese viaje. Además comparto con ustedes que este es otro look para un reto de la comunidad de Fashion Bloggers de Venezuela, en esta oportunidad el reto era utilizar cualquier pieza de denim, a tu estilo. En este caso, utilicé la falda con una camisa de rayas y mis tenis blancos, es un look más sporty y casual.  La cartera la compré hace años en Argentina y al parecer combinó perfecto con mis lentes de sol.

The button front denim skirt was in my last year’s wish list, but I didn’t end up having it. The funny thing is that this year my mom was cleaning her closet and between the clothes she found when she was young, was this denim skirt. It was surprising, first because I didn’t know this trend existed before and second; because normally my mom and I don’t have the same taste in clothes. Of course the skirt is a little bit longer from what I wanted but I still love it and I wear it in a casual style. 

The case is that sometimes I think that what happened with the skirt is what life is all about: full of surprises. You never know what could come to you, that’s why I think that you have to live your life the fullest; it sounds easy but for me it is really difficult, I always think of my future and even more now that in three months I’m finishing university and many changes are coming. However, I think I should make and effort and enjoy the days, the little details and focusing on the present because just the way I received this denim skirt, the things in life  happen when you least expect them and is something you can’t control so we have to let life to surprise us! 

I wore this look when I was in Aruba. We took the pictures there but  I will show to you  soon a special post from that trip. Also I wanted to tell you that this is another look from another challenge of the venezuelan fashion bloggers community. This time we all have to show a look wearing any kind of denim but in your own style.  I wore the button front denim skirt with a stripe t-shirt and my white sneakers, this look is more casual and sporty. I had this bag from Argentina many years ago and the color matched  perfectly with my sunglasses.
