Beauty Trend: Strobing

En tendencia de maquillaje para este verano lo que se busca es brillar y lucir natural, ¿Cómo logramos esto? Pues ya el famoso «contouring»que Kim Kardashian hizo tendencia pasó a un segundo plano y ahora se utiliza la técnica del «strobing». La diferencia es que ya no se busca hacer sombras en el rostro como hacíamos al contornear la cara sino más bien buscar que se vea iluminada en ciertas áreas. Realmente es una técnica mucho más fácil que lograr ya que solo debes aplicar iluminador.

Yo utilizo el mismo iluminador de mi paleta de contouring de Anastasia Beverly Hills, aunque ya se que esta misma marca sacó un Glow Kit que tiene iluminadores en distintos tonos y a parte existen muchísimas marcas de maquillaje que lo tienen tanto en polvo como en barrita. Yo igual estoy feliz porque con este tienes de los dos, tanto para un día que te provoque contornearte como cuando solo te provoque utilizar iluminador.

La manera en que hago el strobing es súper sencillo:

1- Aplico mi corrector en las ojeras en forma de triángulo.

2- Aplico la base

3- Aplico mi polvo

3- Aplico el iluminador en los pómulos y en la punta de la nariz. Sin embargo, otras áreas que puedes agregar es en la frente y en la barbilla lo que pasa es que mi cara en sí ya es brillante.

3- Por último aplica colorete en los cachetes porque eso hará que realces la iluminación en los pómulos.

¡Mientras más iluminador te eches más brillarás! Todo depende del gusto de cada quien. Me parece una linda manera para realzar un bronceado (aunque ese no sea mi caso) y de verte natural sin tantas sombras.

The makeup trend for this summer is to shine and look natural. But how do we achieve this? Well, the famous «contouring» Kim Kardashian made as a trend passed into the background and now everyone is using the «strobing» technique. The difference is that  this technique is not used to make shadows as we used to do while contouring but rather seeks to highlight certain areas of the face. It really is a lot easier to achieve it because you only have to apply highlighter.

I use the same highlighter of my contouring palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills, although this brand already launched a Glow Kit that has highlighter in different shades and also, there are many brands of makeup that have both  as a powder and as a bar; I’m just happy because  I have both with this palette, the bronzers for when I want to contour and the highlighters  for when I want to look more natural.

The way I do the strobing is super simple:

1- I apply my concealer on my dark circles in a triangle shape.

2- I apply the foundation

3- I apply my powder

3- I apply the highlighter on the cheekbones and the tip of the nose. However, other areas that  you can add the highlighter is on the forehead and chin.  What happens is that my face itself is already bright.
3- Finally apply blush on the cheeks because that will highlight more your cheekbones.

The more you wear highlighter the more you will shine! Everything depends on the taste of each one. I think it is a nice way to enhance a tan (although that is not my case) and to look more natural without many shadows.
